I am fairly proud of the fact the we were able to take what was once nothing but weeds and turn it into the start of a very beautiful flower bed. When it finally started to get warm enough, some of my little seedlings and one group of flowers I started from seed, really began to take off. I have a friend in the ward who is a gardening marvel and I thank her for helping me get started and now she is even dividing some of her daylilies and sharing them with me. It has been really fun for me to see plants spread and grow and to get more ideas for what I hope will eventually turn into a really nice yard considering all we had to start with were four small azaleas. We have great plans for planting a nice flowering tree in the front over a bed of spring bulbs. The bulbs I have have already divided so I am pretty excited about it. I will have to take spring flower pictures. I feel like already in our short time as home owners we have become quite the do-it-yourselfers and I am excited to keep the process going. I can hardly wait to get painting again and my hutch is stained and we are working on adding the polyurethane. It is turning out really nice. I may be able to declare Kitchen victory and start my husband on my ideas for other rooms in the house. Its too bad food and gas are so expensive. Anyway, that is probably enough of my rambling. Happy gardening to everyone to has a green thumb or just wants one.

I Did It!
After much frustration Samuel finally mastered the art of crawling around and pulling up. On Sunday he pulled up on a table at church and at home he was using whatever was within reach the toy box, the fireplace, an empty basket. Yesterday he got stuck at the dishwasher and couldn't get down but he is definitely having fun with his new found mobility. Lets just hope brother and sister recover quickly. Yesterday Joshua was trying to roll him out of the way. Aww- the struggles of being the youngest.
Splish, Splash
After a morning of hiking on Memorial day we had told the kids we would take them to the pool. When we drove by it was packed so they were fine with setting up the kiddie pool and sprinkler in the backyard. Two hours later I finally had to convince them it was time to come in for awhile. They loved it! Thank goodness for sunscreen and Mom and Dad got to have a little R&R. There are some things I definitely love about summer.
