Six Months Already!

I can't believe my little baby is already six months. It seems like I was just pregnant. What a fun addition he has been to our family. We have had our ups (spit-ups) and downs for sure, but we wouldn't trade him. We have especially been enjoying our recent weeks of full-nights sleep. He is really turning into a happy (and chubby) baby. He loves to talk and laugh at his brother and sister, blow raspberries, is learning to sit up and pivot on his tummy. He even got up on his knees briefly the other day- watch out Joshua & Kjirsten. We can't wait to see what the next six months will bring. We plan to try to enjoy all of it.

Two Front Teeth!

Joshua wanted me to make sure that everyone knew that after a month of wiggling his front tooth it finally came out. Now he has been busy discovering that he can whistle and sometimes he sounds funny when he talks. Congratulations Joshua! - Oh and the toothfairy left him a nice shiny dollar coin, a much cherished prize.

President's Weekend

I am not sure if this what the Founding Fathers had in mind for the celebration of their birthdays but we chose to take advantage of the longer weekend and get some work done. After completely blowing up the kitchen on Saturday, I was grateful for completed cabinet doors and finally finishing painting the lower cabinets.

So far we are really happy with the results. Not bad for a couple of amateurs with three kids to keep track of while they worked. Jonathan only has five more doors to sand and I am hoping to have all the upper doors back in place by Wed. Next week we will probably keep up with finishing drawers and doors. I think on the1st we will a much needed work break! I can't wait till I can post a completed before and after.

Food

We sat Samuel in his highchair last night for the first time. He seemed to enjoy eating with the family. He loved those sweet potatoes. He is getting so big and grownup.

We Are Bloggers!

With so many family and friends far away I thought it would be fun for us to join the blog scene. Finally! So here goes. Jonathan said it will be my thing. So I hope that everyone enjoys.

We are still busily working away on the kitchen. We have finished priming the top cabinets and have moved on to painting, Yeah, but the doors are proving a little tricky. I will keep you updated. At least I can put things back in. Who knows maybe this will be a fun new look- open shelving is kind of hot right now.
